Meet Rika

Rika Levin’s family immigrated to the USA when she was seven years old and was raised mostly in New York State. She is a graduate of Brandeis University and earned her MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU.  She spent more than 25 years in management, new product development, diversity management, and eventually Chief Marketing Officer in Fortune 100 companies in New York.  She is currently in management at a large Westchester not for profit organization.

Rika and her husband Mark moved to Ossining 28 years ago where they got married and have raised their two daughters.  Rika’s public service in Ossining began in 2015 when she was appointed Village Trustee. She is currently happily serving as Mayor.

Mayor Levin is the exofficio liaison to all Village committees and is laser-focused on improving technology and communications for the public at large, fair and safe housing for all in the community, environmental improvements, ethics policies, parks and recreation, advancing youth education and the redevelopment of the downtown.  She is focusing even more energy, going forward, on keeping a balanced fiscal policy, code enforcement, business improvements for Upper Croton Ave. and greening Ossining.

She is most proud of the work accomplished during her administration for applying and winning numerous  grants and working “hand in glove” with multiple layers of government to improve our infrastructure: Some examples is restructuring Route 9, adding e-bikes technology to our Village, refurbishing the community center, improving our parks, redesigning and modernizing our parking, and building a water plant for the future.
